NRI services in India, done for youRegistrations for Indian businesses
The eight things NRIs living abroad ask us for most. Each one comes with a clear list of documents, a realistic timeline and a fixed fee agreed before we start.
Twelve registrations and licences, one point of contact. Not sure which apply to you? Use the last card and tell us the business and the state.
Indian Certificates & Records
Indian records sit with the municipality, the state registrar or a central department, never all three. We trace which office holds yours, file the application, follow it up and courier the certificate to your address in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia or wherever you live.

Apostille & Attestation
An Indian document is accepted abroad only with the right chain of stamps. If the destination country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, as the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe are, an MEA apostille is enough. Elsewhere we arrange embassy attestation.

Questions NRIs ask usQuestions businesses ask us
Can I get Indian paperwork done without travelling to India?
Yes, in most cases. You sign an authorisation letter or a power of attorney where you live, in the format we send, and we deal with the Indian office. We tell you at the start if any step needs you in person.
Can you get my Indian birth or marriage certificate if I live in the USA, Canada or the UK?
Yes. We find the municipal or state office that holds the record, apply for a fresh copy, correction or non-availability certificate, and courier it to your address abroad. A scan of your passport and any old copy of the record is enough to start.
Is an MEA apostille accepted in Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand?
Yes. The USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and most European countries accept the Indian MEA apostille. Some Gulf and other countries need embassy attestation instead, and we confirm the right route for your country before we start.
How do I manage or sell property in India while living abroad?
Through a power of attorney given to someone you trust in India. We send a suitable format, guide the signing and attestation in your country, handle stamping and registration in India, and manage the records, mutation, tax and registration paperwork. Tax and repatriation steps are handled with a chartered accountant.
Are you a law firm?
No. Virtual Advo is a paralegal and documentation service. We prepare applications, collect records, file with government offices and follow up. We do not give legal opinions or appear in court. How do you charge?
A fixed professional fee, quoted in writing before any work starts. Government fees, stamp duty and courier are charged at actuals, with receipts. You pay online.
How will I know the work is being done?
Every application receipt, acknowledgement and certificate is shared with you as a PDF on the day we receive it, along with a short written update.
Which registrations does my business need?
It depends on what you do, your turnover and your state. Tell us the business and where it operates, and we send a written list of the registrations and licences that apply, with fees and timelines, before any work starts.
How long does GST registration take?
Usually a few working days once the application is complete, unless the department raises a query or schedules a verification. We track the application and handle the replies to any query.
Can you set up a private limited company or LLP?
Yes. Name reservation, incorporation filings, PAN and TAN, and the first-year compliance calendar. Where the law requires a professional certification, a chartered accountant or company secretary signs it and you engage them directly.
Do I need an FSSAI licence to sell food online?
Yes. Every food business, including online sellers and cloud kitchens, needs FSSAI registration or a licence. Basic, State or Central depends on your turnover and activity, and we confirm the right category before filing.
